Corporate Social Responsibility Policy
Founded by brothers Douglas and Russell Denny, the company continues to operate with ‘fair minded’ principles and values.
Throughout its life, the business has sought out niche and innovative markets in which to operate. Through continued good governance, Denny Bros aims to maintain its current position as a premier provider of innovative products and services to a diverse customer base.
The company recognises that a balanced, ethical approach is required in order to maintain a long term competitive view for its continued growth and commercial success. This can only be achieved by entering into commercially viable partnerships with customers in order to provide them with high levels of reliability, quality and service.
Activities are undertaken in an efficient manner that maintain a good reputation, are ethically and environmentally acceptable and demonstrate commitment to the long-term interests of all stakeholders.
Denny Bros is an environmentally conscious organisation that acknowledges the potential impact of operations on the environment and has a number of countermeasures in place. Primarily Directors, but also senior management and supervisory staff, have responsibilities for the implementation of the environment policy and must ensure that environmental issues are given adequate consideration in the planning and day-to-day supervision of all work. All employees and sub-contractors are expected to co-operate and assist in the implementation. Denny Bros will take all practical steps to ensure that potential hazards and risks to the environment are identified and that suitable and effective prevention and control measures are implemented.
The company recognises the role of all employees, its legal obligations, relationships with suppliers as well as the necessity to engage with wider political and social issues that are raised from time to time.
Community investment and support occurs in numerous ways; open days, wider use of facilities, charitable donations by the company and staff, work experience for local schools all being examples of such interaction.
Review is undertaken at regular intervals and communicated to all stakeholders through a variety of methods such as staff meetings, reports, newsletters, and notice boards.
