Is VAT chargeable on Fix-a-Form?
Interestingly, no. When it comes to VAT, books, leaflets and brochures are zero rated. Everything else, for example labels, Promaxx goods, wet peels, and machine hire, is subject to VAT. Fix-a-Form leaflet labels are accepted by the taxman as being more leaflet than label and are therefore zero rated. There may be odd occasions where we would charge VAT on part of the job only, for example if we produced a Fix-a-Form with an RFID tag attached or inserted. The booklet element would be zero rated but the tag would be subject to VAT.
