Denny Bros has become a Gold Sponsor of The Suffolk SportsAid Foundation.

The sponsorship will see Denny Bros supporting the charity throughout 2010 to help local sportsmen and women achieve their goals in the run up to the 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games.

The SportsAid Foundation was set up and inspired by the London Olympics in 2012.

It has already helped many Suffolk athletes like Matti Mortimore – the No. 1 ranked javelin thrower of Great Britain – and Laurence Dugdale, who has rowed for Great Britain.

Speaking about the sponsorship, Denny Bros Managing Director Barry Denny said: “Youngsters need practical support to allow them to reach their full potential in sport. The Foundation provides such assistance for talented young sports people from the county in the form of funding to cover expenses which can run into thousands of pounds a year. We are happy to be playing our part in this and hope that we might even see another Suffolk youngster on the podium at the London Olympics in 2012.”
