Innovators and industry experts from several leading companies will be revealing how to find a competitive edge in a packed programme of free seminars in the Technology Innovations Theatre at Total Processing & Packaging 2010, which takes place at the NEC from 25th-27th May.
The Technology Innovations Theatre presents the very latest processing and packaging technologies which can help to set a business apart from its competition.
A revolutionary microwave sterilisation process for low acid foods, developed at Washington State University (WSU), will be the keynote presentation. The process dramatically extends food shelf life while preserving its nutrients, taste and texture and has already attracted interest from the US military and major food companies.
Other leading names taking part include OCS Checkweighers, Bosch Rexroth, Wieland Electric, PFM Packaging Machinery and K-Tron.
Topics to be covered during the three-day seminar programme include how the latest technology can help to comply with new machinery safety standards, justifying the cost of robotic automation, engineering planning and design made easy, how using the right checkweigher maintains quality control and generates a faster return on investment, and planning a vision system for processing and packaging applications.
“The Technology Innovations Theatre is just one of several free educational and advice forums at Total Processing & Packaging, which offer added value for visitors to the show,” comments Deborah Conneely, Total Processing & Packaging’s Marketing Manager. “The programme’s focus on innovative thinking provides visitors with a real opportunity to think outside the box and take away workable solutions for their own organisations.”
