Pharmaceutical fix-a-form labels are likely to see a spike in demand in India over the coming years.
According to Doaa Said, an official at IQPC Middle East, India looks set to become a "future pharmaceutical hub".
Indeed, he said steps to expand the country's pharma industry are already underway, with "regulators embarking on new initiatives to update and expand methodologies to monitor drug safety".
Mr Said was speaking after the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) published forecasts for likely growth in the sector of the next few years.
Estimates suggest that the industry will be worth £12.2 billion within the next four years.
ACCI figures show this expansion will be fuelled partly by a surge in the number of clinical trials being carried out in India.
This comes after a report published by Research and Markets described India's pharmaceutical industry as a self-sufficient sector that no longer depends on foreign imports.
