A laundry brand is launching a new publicity campaign aimed at encouraging shoppers to buy green products.
Method prides itself on creating premium products while being eco-friendly at the same time and, according to Marketing Week, wants Britons to see it as a viable and effective green alternative to traditional brands.
The company has asked a designer to create a gown made entirely from its reusable washing liquid pouches and is bringing in new, more informative packaging next year.
Marketing director Louise Roper said: "We want to convert people to green that aren't already attuned to green thinking. We want to make a difference and we can't do that if we’re too small."
This comes after an Eco Pulse 2011 survey by Shelton Group found that 43 per cent of people were keen for packaging to be recycled.
Booklet labels offering tips on how to be greener and vouchers for further purchases could be one way for Method to encourage buying. They could also feature statistics on how much packaging is thrown away each year and how the company is downsizing it in order to reduce this.
