Revamp announced for Hardys wine peelable labels 21/11/2011

The maker of Hardys Nottage Hill wines has announced that the peelable labels and other packaging are to get a £4.5 million revamp.

Accolade Wines said the beverages will receive labels with a sketch of the vineyard from which the grapes are picked, as well as clearer writing for the name.

The new printed labels will soon be seen during ad breaks for Come Dine With Me as the brand is a sponsor of the television programme.

Neil Anderson from Accolade Wines said: "We are confident that the new design, with its substantial marketing support, will help to further drive sales of Hardys Nottage Hill."

In September, it was also announced that Peter Lehmann Wines is to revamp all the labels and bottles for its products, The Drinks Business reported.

Other brands that have relaunched bottled products have seen success with auto-collars, which highlight the changes while also displaying miniature versions of the old packaging to make shoppers aware it is the same product.
