There are 101 uses of the Promaxx print-yourself card system. We
take a look at just one of them.
The Association of Computer Professionals (ACP) - one of the leading
professional examining bodies in the field of Information Technology
and Computer Science is using the Promaxx print-yourself card system
to smooth the process of administration generated by its thousands
of members.
ACP provides syllabuses and examination material to its training
centres throughout the world and monitors standards of training to
ensure good practice.
When it comes to administration every cost and time saving counts
and with this in mind the infinitely adaptable Promaxx card system
was selected to carry membership details.
Nina Keats of ACP explains,
“The Promaxx card system was suggested to us by our
computer software provider who recommended the system for the
printing of our Membership Cards. Each member has a unique
membership number which they need when contacting us and during
examination time.
“The highly-durable printable cards are ideal for our use because we
can print them as we want them, when we want them. They look
professional and official and so they are kept by our students with
their credit cards in wallets and purses. They are always on hand
and so we can greatly reduce the numbers of students we have calling
us to verify their number as exam time nears.
“Cards are issued to students each year but one needs to last for
twelve months and it’s very reassuring to see that they can survive
even in the most obvious place – a student’s jeans pocket.”
Students of ACP range from 17-50 years in age. They are generally
people who want to add to their career skills but want to avoid the
more expensive option of taking time off from their careers to study
in full time higher education. A large proportion of the students
live overseas, and this means that they receive their membership
details via Airmail – and the light but versatile Promaxx card goes
too. |
